About NBAC Basketball

At NBAC Basketball, our mission is to empower young athletes through the game of basketball by providing a positive, competitive, and inclusive environment where every player can grow. We are committed to developing fundamental skills, fostering teamwork, promoting sportsmanship, and building confidence both on and off the court. Through quality coaching, community involvement, and meaningful experiences, we strive to inspire the next generation of leaders, teammates, and champions while creating a lifelong passion for the game.

Kevin Blanchet serves as the Commissioner of NBAC Basketball and is committed to creating a premier youth basketball experience for athletes and families throughout the community. As a former NBAC athlete, Kevin understands firsthand the impact that youth sports can have on a child's development.

A North Babylon High School graduate, Kevin played three years of varsity basketball from 2017 to 2020 before continuing his playing career at Suffolk County Community College during the 2023–2024 season. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from SUNY Brockport in 2024, where he demonstrated leadership beyond the classroom by serving as a Resident Assistant, Student Government Vice President, and a board member for several student organizations.

Kevin has continued to dedicate himself to the game through coaching at multiple levels. He has coached AAU basketball with Long Island Boys2Men, served as an assistant coach for Russell Sage College during the 2025–2026 season, where the program earned Coaching Staff of the Year honors, and currently serves as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Suffolk County Community College.

In addition to his coaching career, Kevin is pursuing a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, combining his passion for athletics, player development, and health sciences. His goal is to provide every NBAC athlete with a positive, competitive, and development-focused environment where they can build confidence, strengthen their character, and develop a lifelong love for the game.

Under Kevin's leadership, NBAC Basketball is committed to developing not only better basketball players, but also future leaders, teammates, and members of the community.
